Being centrally located this is an ideal spot for touring Western Galloway with Stranraer, Newton Stewart, Wigtown and Whithorn all within an 18 mile radius. You can explore our wonderful gardens at Logan, Castle Kennedy Glenwhan and Ardwell or potter round our pretty villages.
On a visit to Wigtown you can browse through the book shops and enjoy a leisurely lunch before checking on the Osprey family which returns here each year to nest and are monitored by webcam which you can watch in the County Buildings.
Further southeast in Whithorn you will find the museum and Visitor Centre where you can learn the story of St Ninian and see some of the relics from that era before walking in his footsteps down the wooded Physgill Glen and along the shore to his cave. The peace and tranquility are well worth the walk.
